Officer Reports

President:

First fundraiser - very successful. Got opportunity to educate (and convert) an opponent. Hopes that we don’t become a club that gossips.

VP:

Terry - two manifestations, 1 meeting

Alex - two manifestations, 1 meeting

Spyder Wolf - 1st meeting, likely has completed both manifestations, group agreed to put him down for 2 manifestations

Errol - 2 manifestations, 1 meeting

Membership Updates:

Treasurer:

Dia de los Muertos event last weekend - raised $982.32 after transaction fees.
Trent donated all of the ticket sales for the event after expenses. We discussed 50% donating to LGBT Life Center at the last meeting.
Since we had the ticket sales and raised more, propose donating 2/3 ($654.88) to life center and keeping 1/3 ($327.44) for our organization.

Guard Ian: Motion to donate $654.88 to LGBT Life Center. Second. No questions or discussion. Passed unanimously.

501(c)(3) reminder - This isn’t a callout to anyone individually, I don’t think anyone has broken this. But please don’t endorse (or unendorse) political candidates/elects while representing the sisters. We CAN support people, console them, and talk about the issues! We can also do things like educating people about (both) candidates, what they stand for, and helping people register to vote.

• October 20, 2024 Bear night at MJs Sister Sacral, Guard Ian, Bubba, Pup Raiz Her

• November 2, 2024 - Dia de los Muertos Party at MJs - Sold tickets, Jello Shots, and CUMmunion, Sister Sacral provided the blessing. 2/3 of proceeds go to LGBT Life Center Annual Food Drive. Sister Sacral, Sister Ivana, Guard Ian, Sister Cain Tuckee, Pup Raiz Her, Father Hell-hound, Errol, Alex, and Terry

  6/8 members, plus 3/3 aspirants!

• November 5, 2024 election day at MJs Sister Sacral, Guard Ian, Pup Raiz Her, and Errol manifested and sold jello remaining jello shots.

• November 6, 2024 Pup Raiz Her manifested at MJs to provide snuggles and hugs to those mourning the election.

Upcoming Events

• Community town hall (by LGBT Life Center) - November 11, 2024 - 37th and Zen - 6-8 PM

• Community town hall (by LGBT Life Center) - November 13, 2024 - LGBT Life Center, Hampton - 6-8 PM

• Virginia Bear Contest - November 16, 2024 - 37th and Zen, Norfolk, VA Sister Sacral - doing the blessing for the contest, and anyone who does the blessing can get in for free. Any attending sister will have to buy a ticket for $15.

• Packing of boxes for LGBT Life Center - date TBD

• ”Out Suffolk” organization helping queer individuals in Suffolk/Isle of Wight

  • Bubba Rose interested in helping them out. Pup Raiz Her to join possibly.

• TDoR - Trans Day of Remembrance - New Life MCC - Norfolk 6-8 PM Event: Wednesday, Nov. 20, 7-9 p.m. at New Life MCC, Norfolk, VA Dress rehearsal, Tuesday, November 19 at 6 p.m. Volunteers are to arrive between 530 & 6 to help with setup on day of the event. And stay until 10p to help breakdown.

  Guard Ian: noted that last year, teardown was very quick since we had plenty of volunteers.
