Malarkey to highlight calendar. Speaks to times being trying but seeing lots of engagement with the community and is very happy about it. Commends the Order as a whole for participating.

Last night 6-13 Nighthawks being cancelled, MoN and Pup Chiron manifested at MJ, lots of pups there. 

Self and Sister Mary at Pride kickoff, Mary started at Portsmouth Pride, then at MJs, with Ian, J, and Cersei (all out of face), all supported.

Abbess asks about queer prom.

MoN says they were unable to attend and knows of no SCS presence.

The Community at large receives us well says MoN, and encourages our progression! Co-owner of MJs is following our progress as well, expressing keen interest.

Discussion on MJs being a sanctuary, MoN says it’s not written down, and that it’s been brought up in a prior meeting. 

Abbess requests a blurb, goes over the particulars about framing something to present, and would like to do an event there, as MJs always works with us. Suggests Rainbow Cactus. Malarkey mentions safety protocols at Cactus and it is also mentioned for such status, a few members speak to Zen for the same consideration. Some casual discussion about the location and support provided there.

MoN and Abbess discuss the details of how to present, card stock, printing materials, format and embossing, Mary offers up some materials, framed.

A visitor is presented by Mary, their partner Lissia is interested in being an aspirant and wants to learn more about what we do.

Abbess describes us as a 21st century order of queer nuns, that we don’t mock any organization, we are legitimately queer nuns serving our community as a spiritual order. Offers MoN’s impending guidance and contact. Offers and extends the grace and communication of all present members, speaks to our quirks and the content of our hearts is service, how we serve the community of humanity as a whole, despite identity. 

Novice Projects: no updates

Membership Updates: 

Last night spoke with J, the only thing she has to report is J’s preference and choice for the guard path. He has a difficult time choosing names but will be seek assistance from mentors, for now choosing Guard Pup Chiron for the time being, MoN thinks it fits.

J says they really like the idea of this path upon learning about the role, wants to play a strong supporting role, loves their community!

Nora offers guidance, and volentells Guard Isaac Weiner, for J.

MoN donated 20 bucks

511.19 balance, will be paying for our tent out of those funds and is striking the check today

Abbess goes over particulars about when and how to get the check with Ian. 

Working on printing the tags, the logo gave him problems, will be squaring it away next week and hopes to deliver before pride

P&Ps: MoN brings up P&Ps, being realistic about this month and this meeting’s goals. Wants the house to lend attention over the next month, would like us to put it to a vote in July if possible.

Suggestion section 3 adding to the postulants, may wear a headpiece and veil is not required, expected to be in grayscale, black for fps ect

Blacks and other colors reserved for FPS.

After everything read only has a few notes, details those and moving point sister from section ten to twelve, and wants further discussion over the next month.

Is organizing all suggestions in one place for reference.

Nora suggests dispensations aren’t necessary for the p&ps, doesn’t need to be official can be case by case. 

Abbess agrees, it creates a point of conflict.

Malarkey suggested the first sunday of july with MoN for a round table event to discuss the P&Ps status and such.

Nora discusses the status of another house, wants to do a check in list for where the mission is going, would like everyone to get back focused on the path after pride, and that this month is not the month. Speaks to safety, heat stroke, and the importance of being careful.

Dress reasonably, breathable clothing.

Very proud of every member, much improvement, they’re very impressed.

Traci mentions drinking, water and alcohol, reminds us to hydrate and be careful with drinking.

Abbess recalls a rough day in the heat.

Old Business

Book Discussion, NVC chapters 1,2

Abbess asks questions from the workbook, our key takeaways, all who speak on the book praise it, are learning from it, some having already completed the book but reading again for review with different eyes.

New Business

Mentions Camp Pride FL, how they are losing funding, supports Queer youth, hoping to connect them to Sisters in the area, posted url to general and tagged Co-Moms as they’re in florida

Ian brings up Pride details for 6-27, checks in on chickens and asks us to help the pups with water to hand out.

MoN mentions  support kits, wants to offer kits to the life center.

Talks about combining resources in getting kits together to expand them with the LIfe Center.

MoN speaks to how inspiring Abbess’ kits are, and recognizes the love given with the idea, and the reflection of Abbess’ heart. Abbess speaks to the needs of the community at large and how it was revealed and inspired.

Malarkey asks about brochures and cards to hand out at Pride, and wonders if we have blessing cards. Offers to purchase and alter the brochure, donate.

First order: Malarkey is now a far flung sister, requesting a dispensation to missionary status, remain an active member insofar as they meeting requirements, holding position on the board until such a time as they don’t want to continue.

MoN expresses based on P&Ps malarkey has exceeded requirements.

Nora says this is really common to give someone far flung status, missionary, happens a lot, mentions member emeritus, so don’t get panties into too much of a bind.

Abbess asks how we should handle this, how would Nora handle this.

Nora mentions P&Ps, mentions “Far Flung” status, prefaced this gives an opportunity to join another house, requires a MoN letter, all that. Fairly standard

Motion: Abbess requests we move Malarkey to Far Flung status with dispensation to allow them to stay on the board and continue fulfilling roles, Sacral seconds

Board Vacancy, Abbess asked what are the requirements regarding BMaL, Ian states no requirements, but does need to update the board details but there’s no federal requirement for more than three. Abbess asks if we feel we need to fill the vacancy, Malarkey and Sacral both don’t feel it’s necessary. MoN suggests we leave blank til elections.

Abbess- reached out for council to Traci about Trans Leather House, regarding the current president, past issues, and how to address it. 

Mori’s mention is mentioned, is it appropriate

Concern about twisting

Nora mentions issues in the past, like a theft that became public knowledge, it reflected back on the sisters. So that can happen, there are degrees, but in the past things in personal lives can reflect back on us at large. Malarkey and Nora mention personal freedom, the times, how things could be weaponized against us. This comes up a lot as per Nora. “Queen Mother of the Imperial Court”, Nora has had things negatively mentioned in publications about them. Again, NVC is all about this. How to speak from your own heart and your own needs.

Malarkey requests more experiences for learning, Nora expresses that the tiers of status are there to assist with times like this, carrying the weight of all sisters.

Traci asks when the last time someone did a hay sister check on Mori, MoN spent time with them a day, food and hanging out. Asked them if they want to go on sabbatical, last meeting they were just having a bad mental day due to a loss. They planned on coming to this meeting today but aren’t present. Didn’t focus a lot on the Sisters, it was more personal time.

Traci says there’s no one size fits all answer to this question, it’s gotta be approached situation by situation. Nora says there’s nothing wrong with saying “this is my personal opinion it does not reflect on SPI), a cya just in case they get spicy.

Abbess motions requesting Cersei and Sacral work together on a quiet word for both Cleric and Mori (mainly Mori). Mentioning their actions and words and how they reflect.
