New Business

Officer Reports

President:

Cecilia asking for 1 year sabbatical. Too much going on with work and personal, hard to allocate time. Table for membership updates in VP Reports. Need a coronet, something that ties us together. Sister Gloria was working off a mermaid tail, need to figure it out. Need to nail down a formal attire. Going to the bar is one thing, but more formal events, like the Trans Day of Remembrance (TDoR) would be better if we were unified. Sister SIDMI: Father Hell-hound and he followed the tentative formal attire at the Memphis Exequatur

Sister Ivana - need to figure it out, get purchased, get things made. Need to be a uniformed force. Table for open discussions.

Rule of 2 - good. Skirmish with Sister Gloria in Texas, rule of 2 doesn’t have to be a second sister, preferably a close friend or someone close to the sisters. Need to take safety into account, especially with Open Carry at non-LGBT put on events in public.

General rule of good etiquette when traveling to contact the house that you’re manifesting with.

Sisters need to stay in their role, he apologizes for his absence. Wants to manifest more. Make sure everyone in their roles knows their assigned duties. Making good progress, need to nail down P&Ps. If we can pull up the mission order checklist, add it to our drive.

Aspirant Updates:

Alex Barber, first meeting, welcome! Has been to plenty of manifestations in the past.

Errol had some family changes today, they have been to 1 meeting and multiple manifestations in the past. Would like to see him at one more manifestation and one more meeting.

No contact with Veronica Bradley in 3 months. Suggests putting pause on Aspirant status. Reset to 0 for aspirancy. Motion by Sister SIDMI, second by Guard Ian, passed unanimously.

Elevated to Postulant (Probationary Member) (8 yea, 1 nay)

Elevated to Novice (Founding Member voting rights) (7 yea, 1 nay)

Brother Hal Naw Just Us

Submitted his resignation. Do what we’ve done with previous resignations, keep status at Novice and Founding Member, so if he rejoins Sister Ivana - we can retire him, which keeps him at his current status, and if he wants to come back at current status. He would come back as novice. Guard Ian: Motion to accept his resignation, consider him as retired with current (Novice) status. Sister Sacral (Second). Passed unanimously.

Sister Cecilia Upton Noella Thompson

Request 1 year sabbatical for personal/work reasons. Sister SIDMI: Have a precedence of leniency, she has no issue with extended sabbatical of 1 year. Sister Ivana: Cecilia is a team lead at current role, coordinator position that requires extra classes and training, he wants to slide into that role in about a year. Taking on more tasks above and beyond what has been required.
Sister Sacral: Motion to accept 1 year sabbatical for Cecilia, second Guard Ian. Motion passed, 1 abstain, 0 nays.

For P&Ps: standard sabbatical 6 month, can be extended up to 12 months on a case by case basis.

Sister Gloria Holes

temporarily Weird City Sisters. The Texas House, likes to consider her a visitor. She will remain a member of our house. They meet around the same time as us. Request: She is to remain in communications via Slack, post photos of manifestations. Remains an extension of us in Texas.

Sister SIDMI reminded her of of rule of 2 - with Sister Gloria and MoN at Weird City Sisters.

Annual Meeting:

Officer nominations for the Annual Meeting (December 8, 2024) will be open this month, and will close at our next meeting (Sunday, November 10, 2024) at 12 PM (LGBT Life Center) Guard Ian to send out a nomination form via Slack

• Nominations will be confidential (email tracked due to vote verification), results will be listed for group with names of submissions redacted.
• Any voting member may nominate one or more persons
• Any active, voting member may be nominated
• You can nominate yourself
• A nominee may reject a nomination if desired, but is not required to accept it.
• Nominations will close at during our next meeting (Sunday, November 10)

Attire:

Formal Attire — when we have a coronet, wear it for formal events. Black based attired, doesn’t have to be solid, can include other colors, polka dots, etc. Mostly black. Anything else up to the person, shoes, accessories, veils, embellishments, etc.

Need coronet still. Plan to complete this after the P&Ps

P&Ps:

• Standard sabbatical - 6 months. May be extended up to 12 months on a case by case basis, approved by the GM.
• General best practice while traveling — good etiquette to reach out to the Sister house in the area prior to manifesting.

• Exequatur, Memphis - Absolutely amazing Father Hell-Hound and Sister SIDMI. 40 Visiting Sisters from other house Blue Suede Sisters One of two Mission Orders present Met Ken Tagious, everything they expected, and more, and a little unexpected. Met Bubby Faegala, unofficial “patron saint of Wayward Sisters” Deemed her our Bubby Faegala, she’s our Grandmother (Co-Mom’s Co-Mom) We’d like to send out a personalized invite to our Exeqatur: Blue Suede Sisters, Co-Moms, Mentors, and Bubby Faegala

• October 12, 2024 - Knight Hawks Night at MJs Sister SIDMI and Guard Ian

• October 12, 2024 - Pup Raiz Her, DC Sisters Put up flyers all over 17th St District (gay district) Sister Cheeky’s house, given lots of outfits. Ms. Addams Pageant, Presidential Ballroom. Nearly packed. People in makeup and drag.

Upcoming Events

• Possible Sisters night at MJs First Saturday in November 2, 2024 Raising money for LGBT Life Center and for internal house (50% of funds received to LGBT Life Center)

• Brian Armock - LGBT Life Center - Food Drive -They have boxes at the LGBT Life Center Majority are already made. We can contact him to make more boxes. Help them set up the boxes places that have OK’d us to do this by October 18. Pick up boxes by November 15. Accepting monetary donations up until the event for purchasing turkeys

  MJs - Knight Hawks wasn’t present at the Poster meeting. After poster was posted, they had questions about the logo design. Knight Hawks plan to have their own poster at MJs. Maybe we can have a joint poster for MJs (including our logo) - Sister SIDMI to double check with Butch.

• Possible blessing at Virginia Bear contest - November 16, 2024 - 37th and Zen Light on contestants this year Need to confirm with Howard
