We have had some conflict, and we’re working through it. Got some items that need to happen with all parties involved. Several manifestations, just came out of pride month. It’s crazy around here, 7 cities and we attended most of them. We can only do so much.

Guard Pup Rascal (Terry) is now Brother Canteer.

Sister Sacral - no updates. Sister Ivana mentioned that Cecilia has some stuff to discuss in new business.

P&Ps/Bylaws: (10 minutes)

Sister Ivana has worked on some proposed edits - with some items left intentionally vague for input from the house. Also posted proposal for siblings transferring from another order. Please read over in the next 30 days and post feedback.

Father Malarkey is doing section by section recordings of the proposed edits. Please post comments on each item in a thread over individual sections.

Padre mentioned that the first meeting went well. They have notes from the meeting to post. Tabled until Padre can get the notes in front of them.

New Business

Nora Torius

To Hell-Hound - Sister Nora Torius should have invited Padre out last night. Even if they didn’t want to, She should have invited Padre and apologizes to Padre. Nora apologizes to Padre and to the whole house.

Why she’s here. We had an emergency meeting and they intentionally kept us on edge. But the result is that this trip was able to be the fun sister magic (except for the one member we didn’t allow to feel safe with us, which we have to do better) . UNPC is not here to tell us how to do things, just to give guidance. Why the sisters?

Sisters have been told they would ruin things for 46 years, and we’ve always done the opposite. 1981 - “Gay Cancer” early HIV. Sister Florence Nightmare - she was a nurse, started organize posters, and how to raise money to address this. That’s when they became a 501(c)(3). That means we have a board, bylaws, reporting, tax filings. That doesn’t mean that’s how we have to operate as a house.

We have a powerless Abbess - they run the meetings, but don’t dictate how things happen. We have a powerless board - they make recommendations and act as a committee for the house to decide. What is the purpose of the Co-MoMs and UNPC - it’s very different from what Nora was expecting. Super rewarding, super challenging. Nothing we’re experiencing is new - they have experienced it in other houses.

She’s not a queen, she’s a sister like each and every one of us.

What is she representing? She knows the meeting scared us, but she hopes you see who she really is. Bad dad jokes and silliness. Offer to hug the person who needs it (with consent!)

Why did she manifest last night? It went back and forth, she’s been in the inertia with you. Need structure to make decisions as a house. I feel your house needs structure. What doing with P&Ps is correct. Need protocol for conflict resolution - absolutely correct.

Three rules of the Sisters: We do not flark with the money We do not flark with the community We do not flark with each other

She saw sister magic last night - and she’s sorry for the individual who couldn’t be there.

Need to resolve some of these issues. EVERYONE should feel welcome and safe. Listen first, say the sisters missions, and consider how you will answer to a community member.

She’s very proud of us and will be here a few more days. She’s at our service.

Cecilia

The Veils: Remembrance White veil - anyone that the community has lost Shame Black Veil - things that make people feel unloved and unwelcome. To develop a ritual to burn it. Place, time, and who? Cleric Ace Bandages - familiar with rituals in Paganism, preferred using fire. Pride Red Veil - goal of making it into a pride flag. This year red, next year orange.

Concept of Coronet. Thought of it being more of a concept of mythical nautical theme and not a specific creation. Conch shell, cathulu. Daddy Neptune theme.

$653 total cost for 100 coins
$175 initial down payment

Jae Lacott - point of order, hard to hear with people talking over one another.

Padre - point of order - can’t hear, someone just said that, we’re not following Robert’s Rules.

Motion: Cecilia - Approve project concept. Delivery of first 10 coins determining completion of project. Second. Discussion open. Guard Ian: Amending motion: Approve the project and a conditional allocation for the $175downpaymentpendingCecili{a}^{\prime }sdonationtothehouseof$175. Cecilia to work with fundraising committee to get remaining cost for the initial coins, Second. No further discussion. Motion passes unanimously.

Malarkey

Everyone should have access to all the calendar, Father will help anyone who needs access.

Ivana

Elevation and Transferring from other orders will be posted in slack for review/vote in August meeting.

Code of Conduct and Accountability document is being drafted. Thorough document which will be presented to the house for a two month period prior to approval.

Cecilia and Malarkey are drafting the document for everyone to review.

House conduct to date: We’ve all had bad words with each other, either very public and verbose, or sideways snide comments. It needs to stop. We can’t love the community when we cannot love each other. We don’t always have to agree and don’t always have to like each other.

Nora: Don’t have to like your sister, but have to love them.

Guard Ian: From UNPC calls, we need to identify when to take it off slack. Maybe we need a keyword to indicate some way to say we need a phone call or video call about something. Easier to convey via audio/preferably audio/video. Sister Traci uses “Sister, may I have a quiet word?” For face to face or a minimum phone call. “Quiet word” means we need to move away from written communication and move to.

There is an internal review in the Knight Hawks about everything that has occurred on Facebook recently . Sister Ivana is going to reach out to board to get details. Does not require a member to submit a grievance, but any community member can submit a grievance. Going to draft that for edit into the P&Ps.

Sunny - planning the Transgender Day of Remembrance - inviting us four months early, to be ushers.

Sister Sacral

She’s been talking with April, Traci, and Nora. She’s going to take a step back from Manifesting. Not going on sabbatical and still acting MoN and doing all responsibilities. Anything outside of the realm of MoN, which includes the Chair of the Attire committee. Asking to not be the mediator for internal investigations for the next couple of months unless it is directly related to MoN. It’s also a way to find trust in other members of the house, and to bond with other members. Also gives the rest of the house opportunities to manifest with each other too.

Singing lesson will be open to the whole house.

Sister Spikes

Formal request for Sabbatical, they are exhausted. Sister Ivana: request to hold it for 30 days before we make a decision. Spikes agrees to this.

Sister Ivana adjourns meeting and calls for a separate executive session.

Executive Session:

Sister Traci: Point of order, did we adjourn the meeting, or move to executive session? Ivana clarifies that we intended to move to an executive session. Pause to make sure we still have quorum. Sister SIDMI to reach out to Padre who appears to have left after the initial adjournment.

Padre rejoins.

Guard Ian: Virtual vote for Secretary/MoComm:
Guard Ian: Motion to accept Father Malarkey accepted as new Secretary / MoComm via virtual vote, second. No discussion. Motion Passes Unanimously.

Need to create a Father Time position to handle calendar, incoming requests from public, and communicate with the house. Need to create a position to handle the web site, email, etc.

Need to create an archivist position as well. Guard Ian: Motion to Table creation of these three items for discussion in slack. Second. Motion passes unanimously.
