Summer months brings lots of events, reminding everyone we don’t have to accept every invite, warns against burnout. 

Welcomes everyone, encourages us to keep chugging along, few things to iron out/work on. No much more to report.

Mistress of Novices (Vice President):  

Brother Canteer is requesting sabbatical, official request, spoke with both MoN and Abbess, with them being a board member we need to discuss about temporary replacement, Canteer seems set on not taking on responsibilities during that time.

Sister Mary and MoN went to Rainbow Prom, had a great time! Every year there will be an official request moving forward but the organizers want our presence! We’ve had a presence the past few years. Their only request is MORE presence. Very happy with our participation.

Queer bikers outside, they were fun, there to help with security.

After went to rainbow cactus for PAFU. 

Malarkey and MoN went to 37th for Drag Brunch

ComUnion, MoN, Malarkey, Guard Ian, Cleric Ace and it was so much fun, loved seeing Cleric in Face, Cleric looked fantastic as per MoN. Jorge thanked for taking pictures, who participated but was not manifesting.

Abbess reminds everyone to just be comfortable and own your face, even if you don’t think it’s perfect, give yourself grace, don’t take yourself too seriously.

MVL contest, MoN said it was great, blessing given by Sacral with Malarkey, Sister Mary, Cain Tuckee, it was great to see that show of presence.

Traci’s got nothin, blame bumfuq Indiana

Nora is glad to see us plugging along, happy to see new faces, want to encourage us to think free, lots of options for makeup, if it doesn’t work for you experiment, so long as you’re doing sister work that’s what matters, if you Mish go fabulous with accessories. Strong encourages NVC, read it chapter by chapter. Hopefully we can start really teaching it, it’s ground breaking.

Traci remembered, where my P&Ps at?!?! 

Nora mentions bylaws done, charity status done, just get those rules done!

Old Business

Name tags need to go out! 

First two chapters of NVC by next Meeting. Allocate a spot on Minutes, we’re going to go through two chapters a month. Make any notes, anything that stands out, is learned, wants it to run like a self guided self reflected, how we as individuals interpret the work before we come together to determine the voice of the book.

Some discussion of audio options, Malarkey offers group sessions to go over chapters, prices of options.

Abbess asking Malarkey to piece together P&Ps, get it to traci and Nora, so we can polish and finish this party that we started.

Pride 2026, recap?

Cleric brings up the current bear titles have been invited to be part of the boat parade, will be DJ’n the club stage that Saturday, doing both in Face. There’s discussion about being in face during the parade, Nora offers insight, consideration of having someone who is not novice level, Traci agrees. MoN offers to be present in face and vest, can speak to Howard but it would be wonderful to have representation there at the parade, if Howard prefers not then that’s fine, MoN suggests they can escort on and off safely. 

Traci mentions since Sacral has experience with the org, mentions S. Florida’s trusted organizations, ofc that would have to be voted on house as a whole.

Abbess says it’s not just a safety aspect, ok with it but requests that if MoN cannot ride on the boat, partially cause they’ve been around (cleric) to speak for the Sisters, requesting interactions with press and others, but send formal requests to MoN and such. Cleric is on board with that, so Abbess is on board with the idea.

Nora touches on that as well, safety is always a concern, even if a full member wants to go alone to some event it would be a dispensation still, so this is like that.

Nora encourages us to learn about: A Sister started the information movement about the aids epidemic, Sister Florence Nightmare (Bobby Campbell), the aids posterboy (nationally known) on newsweek magazine.

Malarkey requested Cleric’s paper for House Members to read.

Blessings were fun, not a very busy night but we made a lot of cash!

MoN says John (mjs)  was worried because of the price, but it went fine.

Abbess said we played it up, fun names helped. It was new and neat. 

Cleric says the names were fun, appreciated.

Abbess is glad we got some coins in the purse. Might be something we might be doing on a regular, maybe once every couple of months. Everybody does jello shots. Mentions being measured crotch to floor (lol), possibly once a quarter.

Cleric mentions the root to boot raffle is “20 and you get me on your knees”

Malarkey mentions Cleric used tits, Malarkey would love to see it become a legacy (comunion)

Sacral mentions it was friday, and folks liked that it was friday cause normally folks do it usually on saturday, we can request donations, raffles like dildos, floggers, agrees with the once a quarter.

New Business

Sacral wasn’t aware until this meeting, Cleric wanting to come off of sabbatical.

Abbess has something for Cleric, House of Trans Leather

Cleric- organization was foundation after the death of angela hammilton (suicide)

All community leaders were brought together for people in transition and other gender queers

House of Trans is a leather house, helps with suicide prevention, crisis help, food security, sit on an international trans community board. House of Trans is the first community built and led.

We do run a suicide hotline, Cleric in lead, will share details in the future, was inducted in January, has been voted to VP, regards issues with current prez so Cleric will participate as liaison. 

Abbess asks about the June event, Cleric corrects it’s July, board meeting next meeting, considering pushing even to August since summer is huge, gonna look for good trucks and vendors, to raise money for the house itself and agree on another charity to support.

The goal for that event is also to collect school supplies.

Mentions prior member is current President, Abbess expresses zero issues supporting House of Trans Leather, for community benefit. When Cleric gets dates Abbess will put it up to the house, will support in good faith and good conscience support this. 

Both Cleric and Abbess mention general support and dignity not just within our alphabet community. 

MoN addresses Cleric about the suicide hotline, has mentioned they have utilized, seems heavy on wanting to get a police escort, getting a wellness check can go wrong. Mentions a private matter regarding someone they are familiar with, trying to ensure safety of a person of color, Cleric says only if they are in active danger of harming themselves or others is a “wellness check” required.

Mentions the legality of running a crisis line (Cleric)

Abbess makes edict: willing to help, work, even with people they don’t get along with, and they can get house members on board but won’t force anyone

If things were to get to mudslinging we will disengage, politely excuse yourselves.

Malarkey rambles about responsibility, community representation, mirrors to the community.

Abbess puts this in a holding pattern pending investigation and information.

Bear night is on the 16th, requesting all clubs to participate. Malarkey needs to add to calendar, MoN adds that also on that night Dark Diva’s MoN is spotlight, Guard Ian mentions the community lunch that. Malarkey requests tags on slack for any dates.

First order: Malarkey is now a far flung sister, requesting a dispensation to missionary status, remain an active member insofar as they meeting requirements, holding position on the board until such a time as they don’t want to continue.

MoN expresses based on P&Ps malarkey has exceeded requirements.

Nora says this is really common to give someone far flung status, missionary, happens a lot, mentions member emeritus, so don’t get panties into too much of a bind.

Abbess asks how we should handle this, how would Nora handle this.

Nora mentions P&Ps, mentions “Far Flung” status, prefaced this gives an opportunity to join another house, requires a MoN letter, all that. Fairly standard

Board Vacancy, Abbess asked what are the requirements regarding BMaL, Ian states no requirements, but does need to update the board details but there’s no federal requirement for more than three. Abbess asks if we feel we need to fill the vacancy, Malarkey and Sacral both don’t feel it’s necessary. MoN suggests we leave blank til elections.

Abbess- reached out for council to Traci about Trans Leather House, regarding the current president, past issues, and how to address it. 

Mori’s mention is mentioned, is it appropriate

Concern about twisting

Nora mentions issues in the past, like a theft that became public knowledge, it reflected back on the sisters. So that can happen, there are degrees, but in the past things in personal lives can reflect back on us at large. Malarkey and Nora mention personal freedom, the times, how things could be weaponized against us. This comes up a lot as per Nora. “Queen Mother of the Imperial Court”, Nora has had things negatively mentioned in publications about them. Again, NVC is all about this. How to speak from your own heart and your own needs.

Malarkey requests more experiences for learning, Nora expresses that the tiers of status are there to assist with times like this, carrying the weight of all sisters.

Traci asks when the last time someone did a hay sister check on Mori, MoN spent time with them a day, food and hanging out. Asked them if they want to go on sabbatical, last meeting they were just having a bad mental day due to a loss. They planned on coming to this meeting today but aren’t present. Didn’t focus a lot on the Sisters, it was more personal time.

Traci says there’s no one size fits all answer to this question, it’s gotta be approached situation by situation. Nora says there’s nothing wrong with saying “this is my personal opinion it does not reflect on SPI), a cya just in case they get spicy.

Abbess motions requesting Cersei and Sacral work together on a quiet word for both Cleric and Mori (mainly Mori). Mentioning their actions and words and how they reflect.
